Welcome to the homepage of cattery "van de PoesPas"

Here you will find information about our cattery, our cats and our vision on breeding Abyssinians.
Besides a collection of cats there are also two humans living here: Jan-willem en Gerda van Eys

We've been breeding Abyssinians since 1994. Every now and then we have a litter after conscientious planning. Our focus is on the colours blue and cinnamon, although this means we see ruddy and fawn popping up in our litters too.
At the moment we are setting up a silver breeding program. Here our main interest lies with the black silvers, however sorrel silver and blue silver probably will be seen too.

Our cats live in a homely environment and have a semi-free access to our (escape-proof) garden.
Just as the adults, our kittens have the whole house at their disposal. No room is sacred to them.

We're expecting a litter of Puck's Marali van de PoesPas in the second week of February 2009

Jan-willem flew to Helsinki on the 20th of September 2008 to collect our new addition.
A quick round trip for Jan-willem (very tiring), but a comfortable journey for: *FIN Omanion Aatos; in a travel bag for pets in the cabin of the plane, mostly on Jan-willem's lap. Aatos traveled well only the take-off and landing he found uncomfortable. At the check-in Aatos loved the attention he evoked.
Aatos is a Rudy carrying dilute. He will be our stud for the near future. Eventually we will allow him a very limited number of outside matings.
First we want to see how the kittens he'll have with our queens mature.

Taking pictures of our cats is also a hobby of ours, so if you like to admire pictures of cats, you won't be bored.

On Tuesday the first of may 2007 we've had to say goodbye to Die: our leader of the clan.
